First Smiles

Photo Shoot

London decided to try her hand at photography, and specifically asked me to put them on 'daddy's computer' (if anything is technical in any way, it automatically belongs to James). So behold the artists' work.

"Slinky up close"

"naughty dog" (I would title it- "smart dog")

"Self portrait"

"Mommy telling me I can take 2 more pictures"

"Ignoring Mommy and taking pictures of her while she tries to feed brother"

London took some keepers, let me tell ya.

An Honest Easter

So, I knew there would be some disappointed family members if I didn't post some pictures of London and Noble in their Easter get ups, especially since we were selfish enough not to spend Easter Sunday with them.
Now lets just pretend as you look at these beautiful, sweet pictures that they were taken Sunday morning, after a delicious family breakfast of homemade pancakes at which James gave a heartfelt retelling of the Easter story, and not that they were staged at the end of the day after all the 'festivities' had ended. And by festivities I mean, running around in what most would consider complete chaos, just to make it to Sunday school 15 min after class had begun (which, sadly, isn't too bad for us), and attending an Easter egg hunt at which I'm pretty sure my daughter had what you might refer to as a 'sugar seizure'.

London about to leap off the sofa, Noble looking concerned. Classic.

Happy First Easter Noble!

And you had better appreciate my efforts, dressing London once a day is enough to drive the most patient person over the edge. I'm pretty sure this was the 5th time to put clothes on the child, but I might have lost track.

Happy Easter!!

Quality Time

London loves her baby brother, and the feelings mutual. Noble is always very interested in what she has to say.

And if you can't tell, Noble just won't stop growing. At his one month checkup he was 10lbs 9oz. I didn't think the scale was accurate, so I weighed him when we got home, and sure enough, he's 10 1/2lbs!

Siblings

London Elizabeth at 2 weeks

Noble James at 2 weeks

The Chubbster

Okay, so he's really not that chubby...yet. I just can't believe how fast Noble is growing. At his one month checkup he was 9 lbs 12oz! I can't believe he's gained 3 lbs in less than 3 weeks! He's a precious boy, and we are so glad he's part of our family!

A New Routine

Or lack of, I should say. I know I mentioned that I was not a morning person (especially now), so we have developed a new morning routine. It goes like this:

7:45ish: London yelling from her room, "Mommy I'm awake, it's time to get up!"

7:50ish: I drag myself into London's room, pick her up and carry her back to my bed.

Then I manage to turn on PBS and London watches cartoons for the next 30-45 min. while I crawl back into bed and desperately try to get some more sleep.

It is truly amazing how quickly I can fall asleep and wake back up during this time; for about every 5 min. I am asked a question or given an observation on what is going on with super Why or Clifford.

Probably not the best way to start the day, but right now I'm on survival mode.

London has become so self-sufficient the last couple of weeks, she even dresses herself in the morning. Pretty impressive, even if it's not summer dress weather.
