Just Like Daddy

The past several days the weather has cooled off considerably, and it has been a little chillier in our house. After James put on his sweatshirt last night, London had to do the same.

Hurray for Homework!

Everyday after Taylor gets home from school London runs to the kitchen table to work on 'homework' with Taylor. It amazes me how even pretend, non existent homework, that creates such enthusiasm, follows the same pattern as real homework.

First diligence.

Then frustration.

Then finally agony and defeat.

Taco Bell Run

London and Ali were on their 'bikes' enjoying the cool weather this afternoon.

As London 'drove' away, saying "Bye Mama, see you later!", I asked her where she was headed. She quickly reponded "Taco Bell, eat tacos!". We have obviously made a few too many fast food runs lately.

Cousin Its cousin

I have just recently noticed the uncanny resemblance to cousin It.

This is sad, but yes, this is London's normal hairdo (when it's not in her nose).

I spoke too soon. (It's tucked very neatly in her right nostril)

It may be time for bangs.

Zoo Day

This past holiday we decided to do something fun as a family (it was pretty unanimous that house work didn't count). So we decided that a trip to the zoo would be fun. And it was. London loves to go see all the animals, well at least the elephants and giraffes (those are always the ones she requests). But unlike all our other trips to the zoo, baby Lilly (her favorite baby doll, well she's actually one of two Lilly's, but the more preferred one) had to accompany us. And London made sure that she was able to 'see' all the animals. It was quite sweet actually. She is such a little mommy, I wonder where she gets it?

Bollywood

London has a new favorite show, and it's not Dora the Explorer. It's an Indian film, Bride and Prejudice, actually. Maybe it's due to our lack of normal TV programming and appropriate DVDs for anyone under the age of sixteen. Or maybe London has some very unique tastes in her entertainment choices. Whatever it is, she LOVES it. In fact, she's been asking for 'Mr. Coley' throughout the day. (He isn't even a main character, but the subject of one of the songs). James was very confused when she kept asking for Mr. Coley after dinner last night. Maybe I should invest in some basic cable...

Taking the Plunge

So last night after church a young member of our congregation was baptized (We are so excited for you Raigan!). It was your normal procession of events, declaration of intent to be baptized, prayer, singing, and then the baptism itself. However, at the end, (after the clapping) and during the final prayer (when everyone is gathered in a circle, hands interlocked), my daughter (who fortunately was in the back of the auditorium) was yelling at the top of her lungs "want water NOW!!" over and over again. Granted, an almost two year old wouldn't grasp the significance of the baptistery; all she knew is she wanted in. We tried not to create too much distraction as we left with her continuing her request for her swimsuit and her need for water now.
How wonderful would it be that every one's response after hearing the good news of our Savior yelled "Want water NOW!"!
