A New Routine

Or lack of, I should say. I know I mentioned that I was not a morning person (especially now), so we have developed a new morning routine. It goes like this:

7:45ish: London yelling from her room, "Mommy I'm awake, it's time to get up!"

7:50ish: I drag myself into London's room, pick her up and carry her back to my bed.

Then I manage to turn on PBS and London watches cartoons for the next 30-45 min. while I crawl back into bed and desperately try to get some more sleep.

It is truly amazing how quickly I can fall asleep and wake back up during this time; for about every 5 min. I am asked a question or given an observation on what is going on with super Why or Clifford.

Probably not the best way to start the day, but right now I'm on survival mode.

London has become so self-sufficient the last couple of weeks, she even dresses herself in the morning. Pretty impressive, even if it's not summer dress weather.

You Never Know What You Might Find....

on my nightstand at 8:00 am. This morning it was a plastic fork, pacifier, empty cream soda bottle, and to top it off, Sleeping Beauty toddler panties. I am obviously not a morning person, so in the time it takes for me to become fully functional, London has been very busy, and is usually very naked, I might add.

And yes, I know the clock says it's after 11:00; that's how long it takes me to clean up what London has been very busy doing.

Snow Day

Even though we weren't thrilled that the biggest snow storm of the year came at the end of March (goodbye daffodils, petunias, and creeping flox), it is always fun to go play in the snow.

Showers are Overrated

Can someone please explain to me how it is possible for a baby to sleep 20 hours of the day, and still not be able to get a shower in? It is a real mystery to me. But who needs a shower when you've got this to hold and cuddle, okay, maybe me.

And Then There Were Four...

We are so excited to finally meet Noble James! He made his debut on March 7 at 7:58 pm. He weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 20 1/2in long. He is a blondie like his dad, and so precious. London could not be more excited, she has been a great big sister!
