The Birthday Boy

Noble had such a great 1st Birthday. We celebrated with family down in Edmond and it was so wonderful to share the day with (almost)everyone we love.

I wish I could claim these amazingly adorable baked goods as my own, but the're not (if you need a reminder of my culinary skills just take a look back at London's 'castle' cake (which didn't even receive its own picture)). My friend Anne made them and they were such a hit (and besides being over the top cute they were super yummy!).

Happy Birthday Noble! We love you!!!

Such an exciting life we lead...

This is what missing an afternoon nap does to Noble.

The poor kid just couldn't hang on any longer. After extensively exploring the tv armoire, he just ran out of juice. Now the question is, what will falling asleep at 6:30 do to our night, please, pray for me----right now. (I've been up since 4:00am, so this doesn't bode well).

London snapping a pic of me, trying to catch up on facebook while watching a movie with her, pure quality time, let me tell ya.

And here is my daughter vegging to one of her favorites (Bride and Prejudice), which is becoming less appropriate the older she gets. Good times!

My life just got a whole lot harder

Thursday night, Noble became mobile. He finally figured out the whole crawling thing, and man, was he happy! Now the kid's unstoppable. He loves to explore, and nothing makes him happier than crawling from one room to another to get where his favorite people are.

Before Thursday, this was Noble's preferred (well, only) method of movement. He LOVES his rocket. Set him on it and he can go anywhere, as long as it's a straight shot. It was funny to see him using his little legs to move himself on his rocket, the boy likes to move!

Noble also loves it of course, when we push him around on his rocket. Before we go, we ask him to 'push the button', which he does, with a smile and a giggle (of course). He's too fun and about to turn one year old!

Cookies for Daddy

London really wanted to make cookies for James last night, and she did it (almost) all by herself. From breaking the egg, to taking the cookies off the cookie sheet, she was determined to make them on her own.

My little Valentines

I know Valentines day was over a week ago, but I had to post some Valentines pics of my little loves.

What's in a Name....

London is really into names right now. Her most recent name fixation is Ashlyn. She has informed us that she will be changing her name (to Ashlyn) on her 4th Birthday. And where did the name Ashlyn originate from? A friend from school's older sister, uh, random. And she has decided she will be in charge of naming all future children we may have (if they are girls). The conversation went something like this:
london "I want a little sister and I am going to name her Taylor."
me "Well, first of all, mommy and daddy will name any future siblings you may have, and second, Taylor is a wonderful name, but you have an Uncle named Taylor and he may not appreciate us naming your little sister after him."
london "Well, I will name my little girl Taylor"
long pause
"And Uncle Taylor should change his name to Jonathan."

Sorry Taylor, not only has your 3 yr. old niece assigned you a new name; she's called dibs on your old one.
