Taking the Plunge

So last night after church a young member of our congregation was baptized (We are so excited for you Raigan!). It was your normal procession of events, declaration of intent to be baptized, prayer, singing, and then the baptism itself. However, at the end, (after the clapping) and during the final prayer (when everyone is gathered in a circle, hands interlocked), my daughter (who fortunately was in the back of the auditorium) was yelling at the top of her lungs "want water NOW!!" over and over again. Granted, an almost two year old wouldn't grasp the significance of the baptistery; all she knew is she wanted in. We tried not to create too much distraction as we left with her continuing her request for her swimsuit and her need for water now.
How wonderful would it be that every one's response after hearing the good news of our Savior yelled "Want water NOW!"!

I'll be using that one in a sermon soon!
